On the 19th day of July, 2019, selected pupils from 6 (six) Government owned primary schools in Ekpon Community, Igueben Local Government Area, Edo State, Nigeria, accompanied by their respective Teachers, Ekpon Community Representative, Trustees of Raphael Akowe Foundation and some of its members, embarked on excursion to Independent Television (ITV) and Radio Station, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, organized by Raphael Akowe Foundation.

The pupils were very happy as they were shown various stages, medium and method of modern broadcasting by the staffs, media practitioners and management of Independent Television and Radio Station.
The pupils were equally given the opportunity to express themselves and ask questions on their observations and knowledge gained to the delight of all and in their mood of pleasant experience, they and other speakers, thanked the foundation for the opportunity offered them.
